How to Get Rid of Excess Skin After Pregnancy?
I had an amazing photo shoot the other day, with Fifth Element Studios, and was reviewing some of the shots he provided. Of course, I whipped past the shots that weren’t “perfect”…i.e. eyes closed, falling over, etc. but I also passed up shots like this. Perfectly fine except f…or the skin wrinkling on my stomach. While none of my photos have ever been photoshopped, I could easily ask the photographer to erase those lines and no one would be the wiser. But that would be a problem for me and IS the problem about body expectations. Yes, I do try to hide it on stage or in photos with my posing, but I don’t want to act like this isn’t a part of who I am. Some women have more lose skin, some have none at all…. mine varies according to how lean I am. NONE of us can control it and we sure as hell shouldn’t worry about it. WE can control the badass muscle built with every rep. WE can control the confidence built as we pull on our gloves. WE can control what we value and our definition of beauty. And since the majority of us have lose skin/stretch marks, why are we seeking a minority standard? Well I can promise that, from me, you will begin to see it all…..the good, the bad, and the reality of what some women look like after having kids and not using photoshop! Lol…..And no offense, I appreciate all of you ladies who are on your hustle, but DO NOT spam me for body wraps! If you really think I give a damn about that lose skin, you’ve missed the entire point of my post
